I am mildly stressed. This zoomclouds assignment is kind of killing me. Connotea is not doing what I want...then again what I want I am not sure if that is what I am supposed to be doing. I have the paper to write and I am in a wedding this weekend so I am trying to get as much done as possible before that. I can't seem to get ahead of the game.
On the other hand, I have a new job! Digital Project Coordinator! (fancy title) It is a joint project between Dickinson Archives and Millersville University Archives digitizing books/pamphlets etc. dealing with abolition. I am very excited. YAY!
Apparently I am not completely technologically impaired!

a few more hours in the day?
There is a lot ot be done for school. Which is fine but I also know that I am in a wedding next week so I have to get things done or mostly done before that. I think I am still a little behind on the 2600.
I AM tired though. I think I need a day of just sleeping. It is absolutly beautiful outside today and I am working in my basement office without windows to the real world.
My work is somewhat tedious at the moment as well. I am currently working with open access online database type material called Drupal. (yes it is a very odd name) Which is very exciting and all te work that the past interns and other people have done is all getting online (finally) and is searchable and ooooh it will be wonderful when it is done. BUT we just started using drupal a few weeks ago and while I am not doing the technical side of it it is still very new. It is not hard to use though but we are still in "phase 1" (if you will) and keep running across different issues/conflicts that arise as we go so we have had to go back and change things. example. We were tagging names first name last name which doesn't work to well in the tag cloud or the tag list when everything is alphabetized by first name or title/rank. So we have had to go back through and reformat all the tags. Plus as we were working and tagging names from 19th century newspapers some people ended up being only say Mr. Smith. - then if we found out that Mr. Smith was really Fred Smith there would be two tags for the same person so we had to transport them all to one tag. As we go this will be last of a problem as more and more people will have "fixed" tags that the autocomplete should find. It is a lot of work but the end result will be worth it.

Hello all,
Here is my attempt at my Scopus assignment. I think I did it right but I was having some issues so here it goes.

once again
It is not that I hate technology...we really have some sort of love/hate relationship. I have always enjoyed using it and it has always enjoyed doing something frustrating to me.
I will think about to the 8th grade science fair when I was tryhing to write my report/presentation and OOOOOOH the entire thing DIED right before it was due.
Moving forward several years to the present.
I was working on my hot topics presentation. Everything is good right? no not at all. I was trying to add my slides into ZOHO when oh it decided it didn't need to save most of what I added. THEN for some unknown reason - even though I added them at the end - they are now found throughout the entire presentation. I don't know how to fix this. I am half afraid to try something for fear of messing up one of my group members work. (YIKES)
On this note...I think it is time for me to step away from the computer for awhile before something else happens :oP

sigh
Still sick and (shockingly) still stressed.
I made a doctors appointment for this afternoon hopefully that will take care of the first part but later I think will only end in august.
Most of my stress revolves around 2600. 2000 has a fair amount mostly just because it is a lot of reading. BUT 2600 i fell that i am decades behind. I have the due dates but apparently I can't seem to wrap my head around it. ARGH. It is more of feeling of having no idea what you are doing yet trying to get it done at the same time that particuraly frustrates me. I read up on the Db but I still feel like I am going in blind. I am doing stuff but whether that is right or not is another story completely.

WHOA
color me exhausted.
This has been a long week. Orientation for the summer interns went well. It looks like we are going to get a lot done this summer and hopefully be able to have an official launch of the project by the end of the summer *YAY*
The bad part is I have been half sick all week and now I am just tired but I need to finish writing this paper. I really need a nap so we shall see how well this goes.
SOOOO much to do...

I think I have lost my marbles
no seriously they are gone.
It has been a long week (and it is only wednesday, although, I can't seem to remember what day it is this week) I have a new group of interns starting and we are getting them up to date on all the different types of projects they will be working on this summer. (AS THERE IS A LOT TO BE DONE)
Plus all of the school work that is due this week from the reviewed books to the endnote assignment.
I am going slightly out of mind. I feel sorry for everyone around me...yikes :oP

Rebooting the Web 2.0 age
BBC NEWS | Technology | Rebooting the Web 2.0 age
Here is an article about web 2.0 in action. Collaboration and sharking is the key. It is amazing to think about how far technology has come in just the last ten years - makes you wonder what will be happening ten years from now...
