I have a friend who is in England studying to be a film archivist. I saw this and thought of him. During my work on my applied history masters I took an intro to archives class...I also had an internship in a college archives.
Film archiving whether they are "stills" or "motion pictures" can be complex but it is important to preserve. As we become an increasingly visual culture the important of film preservation becomes more important.
